A place to park the small stuff.

I build products for a living — the kind with roadmaps, funnels and quarterly reviews attached. The Lab is where the opposite goes: ideas small enough to finish in an evening, with nothing riding on them.

Everything here follows one rule. One experiment, one HTML file. No build step, no framework, no package to install. Open the page and it is already running. You can hit View Source and read the entire thing, which is most of the appeal.

Why bother

Two honest reasons.

The first is that a feeling is impossible to spec. You cannot write a document that tells you whether watching a circle fill itself with bouncing disks is satisfying — you have to build it and look at it. Several things that later became real features started as a throwaway sketch that felt right.

The second is simpler: it is fun, and I got tired of ideas dying in a notes app.

Using them

The source is on GitHub under the MIT licence. Fork one, pull it apart, rebuild it better. If you make something out of one of these I would genuinely like to see it.
